Privacy policy

In this privacy policy you can read which data I collect when you visit stemharmen.nl or get in touch with me, why I do that and what your rights are. I collect as little as possible, and I never sell or rent out data.

Who I am

stemharmen.nl is the website of StemHarmen, the voice-over work of Harmen Sipkema. StemHarmen is part of Polycorp Media, Harmen Sipkema’s company, registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 27269099 and based in The Hague. Questions about your data can be sent to info@stemharmen.nl or +31 6 22 34 09 93.

When you get in touch

Through the contact form you send your name, your email address and your message, and if you like also your company name, phone number, details about your production and your script as an attachment. These arrive with me as an email; the website itself does not store them. If you email, call or message me directly, I have the details you send along. I only use them to answer your question, to make a quote and, if you give me an assignment, to carry it out and invoice it.

To keep out spam, the CleanTalk service checks the form before it is sent. For this, your email address, your message and your IP address go to CleanTalk. CleanTalk only uses them for that check.

I keep emails for as long as needed for our contact. Data that belongs to an assignment and invoice is kept for seven years, because Dutch law requires this for the accounts.

Visitor statistics

To see how the site is used, I use Matomo. Matomo runs on the server of this website, so the data does not go to another company. Your IP address is stored in shortened form, so it can no longer be traced back to you, and the data is deleted automatically after 180 days. Matomo places a cookie to recognise whether you have visited the site before. I only use the statistics to improve the site and share them with no one.

Videos and fonts from Google

The videos on this site are hosted on YouTube. When you watch a video, it loads from YouTube, and YouTube (Google) can see your IP address and place cookies. I have no control over that; please read Google’s privacy policy. The site’s fonts are also loaded from Google, so Google sees your IP address.

Links to Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp are ordinary links: nothing is sent to those services until you click them.

The Audio Visualiser

If you use the Audio Visualiser, you upload an audio file and possibly an image. I only use these to make your video, and they are deleted automatically after a short time. Your settings (style, colours, format) are stored by your own browser, not by the tool.

Who else can see the data

For the website and email I work with a few regular service providers: the website hosting (one.com), email (Hostnet) and the website backup (Dropbox). They store the data for me and may not use it for themselves. Other than that, I only share your data with others if the law requires it.

Your rights

You can always ask which data I hold about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. You can also object to its use. Just send an email to info@stemharmen.nl; I will respond within a month. If you disagree with how I handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes

If something changes on the site so that this policy is no longer accurate, I will update it. This version is dated 1 October 2026. In case of any difference between this translation and the Dutch privacy policy, the Dutch version applies.
